Information Sharing Enabled

“The law enforcement community has always been encumbered by the inability to trust the electronic identity of individuals in information sharing solutions. With Anakam, officials now can trust that remote users entering reports into these systems, or gaining access to sensitive information in these systems, are who they expect.”

Law Enforcement and First Responders

Anakam plays a key role as homeland security programs seek to build a trust relationship with a broad base of end users to improve information sharing. One of the greatest complexities in sharing information, even at the controlled unclassified information (CUI) level, is making sure that two key elements are met: first, what assurances can we have that only those we want in the information sharing system can get in the system; and second, how can I trust that the person who posted the information to the system is a trustworthy source. With Anakam.TFA® we have overcome these two barriers – now we know who is in the system accessing the information and who is sharing information. Additionally, Anakam leverages our identity proofing and verification solution to add people to the network when we would otherwise require face-to-face identity proofing or simply rely on referential access with email providing connectivity between the nominator, validator, and requestor.

Sharing Information Across Organizational Boundaries
provides a means by which law enforcement and first responder organizations can share information across organizational boundaries and with external stakeholders and significantly improve confidence that it is only accessed by those authorized to access it. In the international law enforcement and response and recovery domain, credentials can be issued and revoked rapidly to support a case or a crisis. First responders who work in healthcare, whether paramedic or field EMT, will benefit from secure access to patient records through PHR and EHR systems deployed to the field and made accessible through Anakam.TFA®. Providers will now be able to look up the prescriptions taken by patients while they are trying to rebuild their lives after a disaster.

Most homeland security agencies will continue to require face-to-face identity proofing to gain access to information sharing systems within the confines of their enterprise. Anakam understands this and integrates with existing enterprise identity proofing processes, however, we also have the ability to solve the challenge of identity validation in a crisis period through the use of our remote identity proofing (Anakam.IDP®) and identity verification (Anakam.IDV®). Anakam.SCE™ Secure Collaboration Environment providing the final component of an end-to-end assurance lifecycle. Once authenticated, Anakam.SCE™ provides the compartmentalized controls for collaboration toolsets like instant messenger, wikis, and document management systems that afford web access. Now agencies no longer have to brief everybody “system high”; alternatively, access can be granted to and from collaboration tools using identity-based access controls unique to each individual.
