Welcome to the Anakam Blog
by Allan Camaisa, Anakam CEO

Welcome! It’s the start of a new year, a new decade, and our five year anniversary — to celebrate all these events, Anakam is pleased to announce the start of our company blog.
It has been a busy five years delivering innovation in identity management. Truly transformational eGovernment is happening, health information sharing standards are solidifying and true sharing of sensitive information is gaining momentum, and major new security and privacy regulations have been announced to better enable trusted information access through the Web while providing the protections necessary for citizens, patients, consumers, and business partners. New places to store information and conduct transactions are driving the need for identity as a service, where cloud-based identity is a reality, and cloud-based strong authentication is a necessity for the protection of these newly enabled transactions in government, banking, healthcare, and e-commerce. Anakam has been in the forefront of providing innovative solutions to enable our customers to move their business processes online while securing sensitive information and meeting regulatory requirements.
We launch this blog with the objective of sharing lessons learned, discussing tough unsolved challenges, and watching industry directions. Additionally, while many of the industries we serve feel their problem is unique, we have learned that the challenge of trusted information sharing and secure Web business truly has a common series of challenges and industries can learn from each other.
Posts will be written by individuals at Anakam, and while they will be informed by what we do as a company, they will not necessarily reflect Anakam corporate policy. We will strive to look at the industry and business challenges holistically and we hope to use this blog to engage our partners, clients, and the broader privacy, security, and identity management communities in a thoughtful discussion. We welcome your comments on this blog and anticipate that it will become a place for a lively exchange of ideas. We only ask that your comments be substantive, topical, and offered in the spirit of advancing the conversation. Comments will be moderated and anything that is not professional will not be posted. We look forward to the new year and another exciting decade!
