Federal Computer Week highlights work being done at USDA and other federal agencies to consolidate and unify the identity management and user authentication. The agencies are implementing strong two-factor authentication that makes the data stores safer than the current confusing variety of different password-only or complex tools has. Simplifying the systems used also saves money in implementation, maintenance, and training.
