Dr. Bill Braithwaite, Anakam CMO, will speak on February 3, 2010 at the Health IT Summit for Government Leaders. Dr. Braithwaite will be speaking in the conference track "Tackling Privacy and Driving the Sustainability of Public Programs: Strategies for Success".  His remarks will focus on the impact to federal and private sectors of the new privacy rules that are currently being discussed.

Dr. Bill Braithwaite’s career has been dedicated to improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare for patients and practitioners. He was one of the authors of the Administrative Simplification Subtitle of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and a major contributor to the subsequent regulations setting federal standards. At regional, national, and international meetings, he makes presentations exploring current issues of health information technology and is frequently introduced affectionately as "Doctor HIPAA.”
