01.07.10Anakam CTO Testimony to Health Information Technology Policy Work Group on Authentication
On January 7, 2010, Brent Williams, Anakam’s CTO, was invited to address the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) Workgroup of the Health Information Technology Policy Committee. His testimony discussed how authentication engenders trust between users and systems within a complex framework of relationships. Fundamental to this architecture is that organizations can only establish trust between one another after they have established trust with their end users, their own systems, and the other organizations with whom they interface. Read Mr. Williams' entire written testimony on user authentication in the healthcare industry on the Health Information Technology website. Transcripts of the January 7, 2010 meeting include Mr. Williams' spoken testimony, which begins on page 29 and continues in the discussion that follows his prepared remarks.
