Anakam releases Anakam.TFA Two Factor Authentication with OATH-compliant token support as part of a comprehensive, progressive authentication solution for enterprises with legacy token requirements.
San Diego, CA May, 6 2010 – Anakam® announced today the next major step in the constant evolution of their innovative authentication platform offering OATH-complaint authentication for those enterprises with legacy token requirements. With the release of Anakam.TFA® Two Factor Authentication Server v4.0, Anakam now has the capability to fully support enterprises which seek to maintain the use of tokens for a subset of their user population while also meeting the highly varied progressive authentication requirements of their external users.
Anakam’s OATH-compliant server allows the use of a broad variety of open, standards-based hard tokens, as well as downloadable OATH-compliant software modules for mobile phones and other computing platforms. This new authentication path reaches the broadest set of end users in the enterprise lifecycle. An enterprise can choose to retain and maintain a diverse set of token suppliers for the limited population that will adopt them, while also being able to support the business needs of those who will never be issued hard token or adopt downloadable software tokens to their phones or other internet connected devices. Anakam.TFA v4.0 also includes a series of market-facing enhancements for all authentication methods including provisioning database independence, expanded support for multi-lingual users and international mobile devices, and redundant communications service providers so enterprises do not have single points of failure for delivery of authentication.
“Enterprises continue to seek inclusive strong authentication platforms that are pre-integrated, easy to deploy, rapidly reconfigurable, and that interact with a wide variety of core access managers and provision tools,” according to Brent Williams, Anakam Chief Technology Officer. He continued, “Anakam has enjoyed tremendous success delivering end-to-end strong authentication solutions to large scale user-bases like e-consumers, patients, and citizens. Now enterprises that require tokens for certain employees will be able to leverage Anakam as their comprehensive solution for strong authentication for enterprise applications, remote access, and infrastructure components.” The Anakam platform has pre-existing open interfaces into VPN platforms, portal software, and web access managers. Now, OATH tokens add to the existing flexible out-of-band (OOB) one-time-passcode (OTP) and risk-based authentication channels that are fully integrated with their optional remote identity proofing.
